Goodbye week 5 πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

Omg I ran for 20 minutes without stopping!!! I didn’t think I’d ever say that! 😁

It was wet and cold but I was determined to go and dragged myself out, as I haven’t run since last Saturday(work/life business).

It was tough, maybe not at tough as I had imagined though!

My legs ache but am super proud of myself tonight πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜Š

I started week 4 today and haven’t run also since last Saturday. 16 mins... I have no idea

Good job for the 20 mins! Must be something in the air!

Hi Vix

I did the 20 mins this morning. I was so apprehensive and like you, amazed that I did it. Had put it off for 2 days but having been out all day now still no serious leg tiredness.

Good luck with Weeks 6,7,8,9...

Congratulations to you Vix82 on completing W5R3. Now onwards and upwards to week 6 runπŸƒ 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks

Thanks. I’ll be extra aware as I’ve noticed others have said that about week 6. My husband also said he found week 6 week 1 hard thinking it would be easy after the 20 minute run! 🀭

You’ll find week 6 is very similar to week 5 but with slightly longer runs . So it’s still two walking breaks in R1, one in R2 and none in R3. Be careful with the first two runs as lots of people underestimate them. Yes they have walking breaks but they are still 18-20 minutes running (5-8-5 then 10-10). You can do that of course, you did it in week 5 but just as the step up to W5R3 is not as big a jump as you think it will be, so the step back down to intervals is not as big as it looks either. You’ll be fine though if you take it seriously, just don’t underestimate it.

Thanks Arthur. I’ll be careful and pace myself

Always a good plan. I think it was two months AFTER graduation before I learned how to start at an easy pace!

Great job... the best run in the programme... just over half way in weeks, 2/3 of the way in duration. You got this now. Slow and steady into week 6, run one demands respect, but you’ll be fine I’m sure.

Well done!

Excellent!

It is a good feeling when you achieve W5R3.

I found week 6 the toughest. Possibly because after doing 20 minutes continuous you'd think it would be easy right?

Week 6 seems to trip up a lot of C25Kers so as UnfitNoMore says, give due respect. Slow and steady. Get it done. We look forward to seeing your positive progress reports 😸

Well Done.

When I read people's reports that are ahead of me and see how far I've come myself; it really does show that they have got the stepups right and have honed this plan really well.

Good luck with achieving your next goals.

W5r3 is quite an achievement, before then I wasn’t sure I could ever finish the programme but since that run I feel I can do anything !!

Well done you 😊

I feel the same. I didn’t think I could get this far. But now I think if I can do 20 minutes I can do more 😊
