Wet, cold and dark this morning tempted to go back to sleep. I ran (shuffled) this morning, breathing under control shuffle going well though had to laugh when I am told to slow down after each run and I thought I actually could speed up when walking !
Listening to Queen and was joining in with singing! Going to start Week 2 Sunday though worried as I am only shuffling and wondering if an extra 30 seconds each time will make a huge difference?
Still determined to continue and will just trust the programme.
Hopefully not too cold as I am already on 3 lawyers and debating on wearing g gloves!

Hi Patchpet. Well done on the run, I know it's not easy to get up and out into the cold so hats off to you. I'm already wearing gloves (extra speed points! 🤣) as it is getting quite nippy. The extra 30 seconds will make a difference, it's all about small steps and steady progress whilst building your stamina. Keep with it as it really does benefit you for the weeks ahead when you'll be going further, faster and really enjoying your running (and Queen, rock on! 🤟)
Great job.., if you can walk faster then the pace is perfect... it’s about putting your legs through the running motion for the duration. You had breath to sing with the greatest male vocalist ever... that underlined that the pace is good.
Week 2? You may find it easier... run bits are longer, but there’s less of them... I found counting down from 5 instead it 8 was very good for my confidence. Enjoy.
For sure... if you can take your mind off what you’re doing then the voice in your head telling you that you can’t is powerless. Enjoy Sunday... I’ll be running with you... I’ll be thinking about all of you running the plan as I go... that’s all the inspiration I need to go run, so thanks in advance.
