I'm in my final week of the Couch to 5K plan and have just completed my first 30 minute run. I felt as though I had loads of energy left in the tank and did want to continue running. Wow.
I'm. A. Runner. Wow. Just. Wow!
Its been a wet morning, with a brisk breeze - but not miserable (it's a happy day). Everything felt just right today. My pace, my breathing. And, my legs didn't feel like lead when pounding the road, and responded when I wanted to speed things up!
Did I say Wow? π€£

With the weather being poor, there wasn't really any photo opportunities... So the horse pic is from a walk in yesterday's sunshine - it was having a good old scratch on a post.

I'm aiming for that 3mi marker on the last run, so I'll probably be a couple of minutes over the 30mins. After the work put in its only right to finish on a high π
I finished my c25K on Saturday and ran the additional 75 secs over the 30 mins to get that 5k under my belt. Starting consolidation tomorrow... first target to keep increasing speed little by little until I can complete that 5k in 30 mins. Seems really achievable now as my speed has increased with every run since I started this. Youβve got this too! That finish line is in sight... go for it!!
I think most people look at the plan and think it's impossible, but they need to trust in it. I struggled in Week one, with the 60 second runs, and yet here I am now running for 30 minutes in two months. I'm sure you'll complete the plan just as I aim to.
I started with a smile and hope to finish with laughter lol.
Wohoo!! I did my first run of week 9 too, but I found it hard going, felt I was really plodding and when I checked strava my pace was faster than before π
