What a Hero

So most of us run a little. We have our challenges to face but mostly these do not compare to the challenges of the Greek heroes. So one of our number is facing a Herculean task. Hidden is a C25K Graduate and is completing 2018km in 2018 and all for the sake of Alzheimer's research. Blimey!

I just wonder if we wanted to make a financial contribution, how could we do this? Any ideas?

Keep running Jan, you are doing a fantastic job :)

Hidden - gosh you and Mummycav have really got me in a full blown lump in the throat moment. I cannot tell you how chuffed I am that you are all my running friends and supportive of a very personal cause. I love this place, the people, the mentors, the admins, the coaches - I love it all, and that love is what has kept me running all this year.

Whenever I get that ‘can I be bothered’ feeling, it’s this place that acts as my guardian angel, sitting on my shoulder encouraging me to go out. There are people on here who have faced far more personal tragedy and strife than I, but Alzheimer’s is so close to my heart, I hope I’m helping them to find a cure for such a horrid condition that is blighting so many families in the world today.

Thanks you so much for this post and your own very generous donation to my cause. I am writing this with tears in my eyes, because truthfully I’m a bit overwhelmed by the emotion of it all.

Thanks so much for being in my running crew
