What is Your Week? September...Week 3.

Good morning everyone...

This month, it is my turn to bring us all together, in the What is Your Week chat.

Our numbers are still growing, and the advancing seasons have not slowed that down at all! The darker days are heading towards us....but we shall run whatever!

It is great to see so many folk finding such enjoyment from this wonderful programme!

This photograph was taken again, on one of my running and my rambles. just a favourite stopping point on one of my favourite routes.

The Year is turning and yes, the weather changes, also... bringing new delights and new challenges, but we are able, hopefully, to still find the time and the opportunity to complete our runs.

With numbers increasing, it is great, to have a little fun post ,so we can see who is on which week, of the programme, and hopefully it will help everyone to feel more included on the forum.

We can support, encourage and generally help each other, in a positive and friendly way, with no thought of comparison.

Please remember it doesn't matter if you stay on the same week for a while, that is fine; it is a journey and it really doesn't matter how long it takes, it will be so worth it when you get to the final run.

If you have just graduated, also, this will be a great place to keep you motivated, and there is always the Quest on the Bridge to 10k forum as well for graduates.

So, come and join the fun.... Let us know how it is going :)

Hi, just completed week 7 run 2 tonight. It was a tough last 5 minutes and I am not feeling very motivated to do much this evening but it's another run in the bag!

I’m sure you can, but remember if this is soundly based doubt rather than just general trepidation, you can always repeat a single run or a full week to work on style and stamina. We know you can do it Jojo 😀

I managed W8R2 yesterday morning - for me not the best run ever, but I stuck with it and am proud of myself for not giving in to thoughts of stopping. It's the hills I find really daunting (and when I say 'hills' I mean anything which is on an incline - which applies to virtually everywhere around where I live). But I guess it all makes you stronger, right? And I am so chuffed for being actually able to run for very nearly 30 mins now! - I never thought this would become a reality, but this is such a good programme and the encouragement I get from reading the forum really helps me.

You’re doing so well - we’re all so proud of you ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ah - thank you : ) Sounds like you've got a lot to be proud of yourself for too. (I am also someone who prefers to go out when it's still dark to avoid being seen!) Have a good week.

We are supposed to embrace the hills... and they are there... a lot of them...and we are suppose to embrace the weather too!

Character building someone told me.... all I now is... the hills I struggled up during the runs up to Graduation... I simply race up now:) Character building must be true!!!

Huge well done!

I had a slip up on week 6 run 2, unfortunately. During the second 10 minute run my legs and lungs completely gave up and I had to go back to walking with 4 minutes of running left. I won't let it stop me though, going to have another crack at it today and try running the first 10 a bit slower!

Start slow, stay slow...enjoy. That is the way to go. A great journey.. relax and take it all in :)

Having trouble getting any runs at all this week thanks to family demands and general aggro. About to repeat week 1 for the 4th time. I consider myself the flag bearer on here for all the morbidly obese newbies who sidle up side roads so nobody gets to see them jog and prefer to go out in the dark. We can do this, people. Together we are strong x

You are doing wonderfully, flag bearer! Time to step into the light maybe? x

Thank you ! Having trouble making time to step out at all so far this week, so I may be forced to scare the neighbours after all 😁
