So did my first run of week 8 and was still no faster or covered more distance it is exactly the same as the other weeks surely I must be able to cover more distance now. My legs were hurting straight away and by then time I got home I felt very dizzy. Not sure what was wrong today. Going to try again on Tuesday.

There’s a reason the C25K app doesn’t track distance... it’s irrelevant. You got out, ran 28, and the job was done... doesn’t matter if that’s 1k or 6k. Slow running will be what you do most of the time anyway, so embrace it now. You’re doing a great job.

Thanks still find the runs hard and going at snails pace but determined to finish the programme

Your comfortable pace will always be the pace you run 80+ percent of the time... so nailing that disciplined running during the programme is the best way to go. After graduation, you’ll be running consistently at that pace and then you can lengthen a run to build stamina, shorten a run and push faster, etc... and your speed will increase over time.

So, you’re doing this plan perfectly in my opinion and setting yourself up nicely for your future running.

Thanks again for the motivational talk! I have decided going forward I want to do 3x20 minutes feel this is long enough me before I get bored! Which I know I can already do and did my w8r2 and covered 4 k so was happy with that.
