Yikes, it was another difficult run this morning, shins felt hard and heavy but I managed to get into a rhythm after 5 minutes. I was tired this morning which didn't help but I wouldn't change getting out in the morning and starting the day like this. It was fairly windy but, it definitely helped as I was hot within minutes.
So, like others recently, I tracked the actual run time rather than the whole session inc walks. I'm very pleased with the slow but steady 3.4km I covered in 28 minutes. Next week I hope I can smash close to 4km in 30 minutes, next week is my week 9 😲Something to aim for at least.
Have a good Friday all x

Me too, I'm only wearing sports bra, a light vest and a thin running vest but think I might ditch the vest for now, I'm hot within minutes. Good luck for week 8 x
Well Done! I missed my run this morning I’ve got 55mph winds here so going on treadmill tonight. Didn’t think of just tracking run times think I’ll start that. It’s might first 20 mom run tonight on week 5
Looked at weather and winds easing later so will just be raining so I’ll probably run outside. Yeah dreaded the 8 mins but felt great when I’d done it on Wednesday
Well done you! I have found my last two runs challenging (w7r2+3) but completed them. Reading lots of posts and answers in the forum is helping me to keep going. Week 7 is the first week that I have tried to track my actual run in distance on MapMyRun. But I am fuffing about so much both at the start and finish because I keep the phone in a sleek waterproof bump bag, this adds anything between 35 to 59 sec. How on earth do you get yours so accurate? I’m jealous!
I use mapmyrun too. I just start it close to finishing my 5 min walk and then pause when Laura tells me to stop running. I use a cheap zipped bum bag which holds my phone and keys.
