I did W6R3 yesterday and for the first time, failed to keep running for the entire thing. At half way I was getting tired and slowed down a bit, then around 20 minutes into the running I had to slow to a fast walk for a minute or so and then again a few minutes later. I did keep moving for the entire 35 minutes but now today my legs are suffering for it.
I was considering repeating it before moving on but I notice week 7 is just 3 runs the same as W6R3 so I think I'm going to carry on but might repeat week 7 before if I'm still struggling by the end of the week. This seemed like a really big step up from the previous runs.
That said, when I started this I could barely run 100m and I just 4.2km, I'm really surprised how you can do that in just 6 weeks!

Great effort. You’re ready for this run... and judging by your stats you have scope to slow down! Run as slow as you need to to complete, this will build your endurance more than going faster.
Personally I didn’t count weeks, I took each run as an individual event, and would have repeated any that I didn’t complete. There’s a reason that there’s 4 identical runs and I assume that is to consolidate where you are before the final push to 30 minutes... so I’d make sure you complete all 4. You’ll be stronger for it going forwards... better to repeat this one and be 2 days slower on the plan than to really struggle in weeks 8 and 9 in my opinion.
Thanks for the reply. I'll repeat it and go a bit slower. Make sure I complete 4 in a row before moving up to week 8. I feel like I was really close so I'll do it this time.
Of course you will, it’s there, just a matter of pacing... finding your slow pace is more important than your fast pace going forwards as you should be using it a lot more!
Hi, I felt I’d failed when that happened to me. However as someone pointed out I had still ran much further than I had been able to a few weeks before. Apparently you can have good and bad days, keep going, your doing amazingly well
