...on the way to pick up my eldest grandsprocket for an overnight stay.
Some of the boardwalk is metal and some is some kind of plastic(?), the metal sections bounce more, because of the way they are fixed, so I find them easier on my legs, but wow do they make a lot of noise! The plastic sections are quieter to run on, but I find them almost as jarring on my legs as pavement.
That said, it was a lovely evening and even though it was getting dark very quickly it was still just about light enough, as I finished, not to trip over any stray pebbles. Oh, I ran on the actual beach at one point too, it was very hard work 🙃
