Week 7 Run 2

Absolutely freezing this afternoon-my fingernails were blue! Took a little longer than normal to warm up!!

I felt I was going a little quicker in the second half but it felt comfortable. And loved the sprint once again at the end!

An enjoyable run, a refreshing run! Didn’t think I’d make it out today- we tried to transition the baby into his own room last night, well with his sister, but they woke each other up all night!!! So after 4 hours sleep, a coffee and banana I made the decision just to go for it! Glad I did!!

Hey well done you for getting out when you were obviously tired. I remember those days well. X

Thanks! Was going to leave it until tomorrow but it might be 2x nights of the same!!!

Good running and well done for finding time to make a post! 😸👟👟👟👟👟😸

Thanks! I've been trying to post all day!!!! When I finally do the app constantly crashes on my phone!!! It's one of those days!!

That's amazing, well done! My W7R2 is on Wednesday and I can't wait. I run at 6am so it's pretty cold and dark but I did buy some running clothes today so I'll see how they feel for the next one.

Keep it up, you're doing great x

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to Rooster678

Thanks rooster! Hope yours is a good one too! And that’s great that we should graduate around the same time!

Apparently Lidl has running stuff on Thursday!!!

Rooster678 in reply to Marcia-H

Ooohhh, I shall check that out. Thanks x

Those runs when you’re in doubt about going often end up being the best! So well done for getting out! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Ahh, tiny kids! My 3 are in their 20’s now, but I do remember the trials and tribulations of bedtimes when they all wanted to stay up and play! 😀❤️

I’m so glad it was a good one!!

The baby slept the whole night in his new room-but the 2 year old was in our bed at 6am this morning pulling my hair and using my back as a treadmill!!!

AlMorrGraduate in reply to Marcia-H

Wow, Marcia, the 2-year-old was using your back as a treadmill, (some here call it a dreadmill) the sooner he/she can walk the better, get him/her into some sort of running club as soon as possible.

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to AlMorr

She can walk, she was just being naughty! The baby was just standing in the living room the other day, much to my horror and delight-he's doing everything very quickly! I do wonder if he's going talk soon!!!! 🙀

We should hopefully be joining a junior Parkrun on Sunday for her-she can't register as you need to be 4 but we'll go to the back and tag along for some fun!

Well done for getting out there Marcia. Not an easy juggling act with little ones plus lack of sleep. Your so close now 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to Oldlady57

Can’t quite believe how close it is now!!! It is a juggling act and forever changing priorities.... but it’s the best thing ever being a Mummy!!!

Your doing fab on both fronts by the sound of it 👍🏻

Great job... after that night most people wouldn’t get up and do this, and who’d blame them... but that’s not our Marcia, nothing keeps her down. Very well done, hopefully you’ll get some sleep into run 3

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to UnfitNoMore

Well I thought if I leave it another day it could be even worse! Glad I went out-you never regret a run!!!

Have a fab graduation run this afternoon-we’re all waiting for that post 😊

Thanks, I’m ready to go... but I can’t spring my running buddy from school yet... think she will need an hour or so too.

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to UnfitNoMore

Ha! Your like a dog desperate to get to the park!!! I’m pretty sure the run will be the same!

UnfitNoMoreGraduate in reply to Marcia-H

True 😂. Hope nobody’s throwing a stick when I get there!

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to UnfitNoMore

😆 yeah stay away from trees and lampposts!

UnfitNoMoreGraduate in reply to Marcia-H

Well done on getting out there. It does help. The excitement/change will wear off for your daughter.... eventually. It was a long time ago but I still, like others, remember those days.

Now the weather is turning don’t forget to add gloves to your running gear and Rooster678 . I’ve already had to use some lightweight ones on a couple of runs (ended up stuffed in my bra after a short distance but I did need them at the start).

Rooster678 in reply to AnnieW55

I bought some yesterday 👍🏽

Marcia-HGraduate in reply to AnnieW55

Thank you! She is absolutely bananas just now but it’s adorable as it is annoying 💕

I will get some gloves-that’s a great idea-sticking them In the bra once they warm up! And a good way to warm the gloves up beforehand!! 😆
