Rest day from running! You can do whatever other exercise you like as long as it's not running.Walking is excellent! You can walk anywhere for free. Get outside into the fresh air. Swim, cycle, etc etc

Please read this guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which points out that any non impact exercise on your rest days is beneficial.............they are rest days from running.........no need to be sedentary, but please do not run on consecutive days.
Glad you brought this up SamSam! was wondering too. I work from home so if it wasn't for my dog would be all too easy to not move at all! I just finished W4R1 this morning too, on my rest days have been walking for about 5 miles a day to try and keep my 10k steps in, before or after the run I've been doing a 3 mile walk with the dog and so far have been fine.
