Not allowed to run πŸ™ this weekend

So my last W7R2 was on Wednesday and R3 planned for tomorrow.

Visited the physio today for calf pain in my right leg ( I’ve been running through it). I have been given exercises and no running til Monday and then only if no pain. He think there may be a muscle tear.

Pleased I went because now it will hopefully improve but gutted I have to miss a run when I’m so close.

Shows that even those niggling pains are worth getting checked.

Apologies for the winge!!

Rest well and you’ll soon be out there again... I agree it’s worth getting checked out if pains persist.

Thank you. I will try and rest. I’m thinking a swim πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ to keep my cardio fitness going.

Swimming is a great way to exercise injuries without stressing them too πŸ‘

I totally understand

I had to visit a physio after pulling a muscle in my back getting out of my car!

Had to take 8 weeks off running, with 6 weeks of physio.

So started C25K from scratch. I start W4 on Sunday πŸ‘

Hope your recovery is quick

It sure is frustrating but hopefully I’ve caught it early enough to just mean a few days off. Good luck for Sunday πŸ’ͺ🏻

No worries.... you did the right thing... I had a minor muscle tear..I did the right thing and kept resting but the recurring twinge meant it was an issue.. so..if there is any pain when you run again...please... you stop !

Very well done and rest easy...the runs still wait for you !

Not a whinge at all..it happens to many of us and listening to our body is the right thing to do :)

Heal well x

Best to rest when you need to, even if it means delaying the running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Frustrating for you but you did the right thing. Too many people think they can run through pain which eventually leads to worse

You'll be stronger when you start again

So frustrating for you.

Can I ask, was it painful whilst you were running?

Yes but more so at the start of a run. It eased off whilst running but came but at the end of the run.

It’s frustrating but necessary for healing. Swimming sounds like a good idea. I hope you recover quickly πŸ™‚
