To run or not to run?

I’m going on holiday for a week on Saturday so I’m running Monday, Wednesday, Friday this week. Up to now all my 5k runs have been at parkrun. I’m going to attempt one on my own on Friday. Hope I can keep going even without the encouragement of the wonderful marshals and my fellow parkrunners.

The question is, how likely am I to get any running in next week while away? I need to decide whether to use valuable luggage space for my running gear. I’m riding my motorbike so space is at a premium. Hmm 🤔 I wonder

We’re going to Belgium 🇧🇪 camping just south of Waterloo. A bit of a departure for us as we usually tour around but this time we’re staying in one place for the week

Oh I'd take the shoes then - lovely countryside.

Up to you really. Tourist running can be fantastic but equally a holiday is a holiday from the norm. There's nothing wrong with having a break if you want one 👍😉

There's nothing wrong with time off. I ran on holiday and loved running in a new place! But i went in my car...!

I started c25k whilst I was on holiday. Loved it, because I was free to run when I wanted and it was a great way to explore the surroundings!

I’m thinking I should take the shoes. At least I’ll have the choice then. I can always stuff them with socks or something to ameliorate the luggage issue 😀
