So I tried to take the advice on board and pace myself more but actually went faster and yes it was a killer for the last 5 min run, advice please as it feels awkward going slower, almost heavy footed.

Way to go. Maybe your slow is my fast 😂. It is a heck of a pace, but if you can live with it, maybe it’s right for you?!

If you need a slower gear, maybe set off and then distract yourself by taking in the world around you, appreciate the nature or check out the distant hills.

Aah those words it’s in the bag is what matters most Dave. You can always slow down in the last few minutes when you’re feeling it’s getting harder. There’s no harm in that. Great job!! Keep going you can do it! Well done you!! 😁❤️

The best thing about C25k is that the intervals enforce some pace control.

Listen to your body and slow down if you need to when the duration of the runs increase.

Try not to get seduced by the stats (I know I am - love a bit of strava) but you don’t need to get a PB each run.

I’m up to 25 min runs now on the programme and have been doing some faster pieces during the run - between lamp posts or turnings, and then dropping back down to a steady jog. It’s helping me find a pace I can live with but also gives me a bit of variety and a chance to run off some stress

Well done!!! If you talk talk with this pace than this is your pace ;) If no... Try to think of running on ice, maybe this will help.

Huge congrats!

Well done! Honestly if i could go that fast on w4, i would not call it a challenge! I don't know how fit you started out but pace is really important for progressing to longer runs. Maybe you can alternate your pace with particular music put together according to beats p/m. That will help you control the pace.

So either way, you are doing great! Happy running!!
