Looked at the weather this morning and it was nice and bright so I left my waterproof jacket at home. About halfway through the heavens opened and down came the rain, too far from home to turn back, so carried along my usual route and absolutely loved it, rabbits hoping across my path into cover, ducks out with their ducklings, I completely forgot I was running and that it was raining and just enjoyed the scenery.
Onwards and upwards, R3 on Friday and I can't wait

Good on you :-). It does become kind of addictive and I cannot wait to finish the programme - I have 3 more runs to do - 28 mins, 30 mins and then finally 35 mins - I think the last one will kill me but cannot wait! For me this whole running malarky has been such an achievement for me - I'm overweight, unfit (well, a little, I do go to the gym), never thought I could run for the bus let alone 5k but have now learnt that if you take it slow and steady at the start, relax your body and breathing then the rest comes naturally. Also, I find leaning forward when running helps - may sound silly but posture, as much as anything else, will either improve and hinder your running! Now I don't give a monkeys about how I look!! Enjoy it out there!
Hi, I'm just back in from W4R2, showers forecast all day here, so having read lots of soggy stories from over there, I set out at 9 when it was dry but grey. Made it home in dry, now if it rains later it will simply add to my smugness. My run was ok, but still found the last 5 min segment tough. I'm currently back on heat pad for my ache in top of thigh ( possible sciatica), don't want it to develop from irritating ache to painful barrier to running. Glad to hear you are still at it whatever the weather! Have yet to be caught in rain but sure that day will come😉🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
Hi. I'm doing my w4r2 later, will hopefully be dry. Good going for keeping going in the rain. Don't normally run in the evening, so hopefully won't be too tired. Being in a training session all day, so looking forward to getting some fresh air!
My runs all used to be in the evenings but I can fit Wednesday and Friday in the mornings which I find easier. But I know some people find evening runs better.
Good luck for tonight and I'll see you on graduation day
