A combination of a sore throat, runny nose, STRONG headwind, uphill route and not having run for 9 days (work - and if I'm honest, the weather - got in the way) made for a hard going first ten minutes. My legs felt like they were wound tightly, if that makes any sense? I was still glad to be out but I thought it wasn't going to be a record-breaker today.
But of course, the track levelled out, my legs relaxed, I looked about me at the gorgeous scenery and with some good music I settled down. I had a new long-sleeve running top on today which I'm glad I used as it was a bit nippy in the stiff breeze. Perhaps I'll look into some running gloves...?

Wow amazing location. I hate starting out on a run, heavy legs and very slow start pace even if I run every day, so you are not alone. Sounds like you enjoyed it so well done.
My running gloves (and hat) were godsends last winter, and will be coming out soon, I think (except that we're meant to be up to 20 today, what?!). Get ones that are meant for running or cycling, so they don't make you too warm 15 minutes into your run!! Jealous of your location, even with the hills!!
