but still glad I went, running in the rain at 6 30 am, love it, but today just couldn't get going or get into a rhythm, but nevertheless I feel so glad I went out, the after feeling is amazing. Now I'm off to the hairdressers for a cut and also a massage, followed by a little light shopping, then home to do lots of whatever I feel like !!
Well that was a rubbish run .....: but still... - Couch to 5K
Well that was a rubbish run .....
Your next run will be better! Enjoy your pamper and bit of retail therapy xx
Running in the rain ?? I definitely don't do "running in the rain" - I mean, how can you see where you are going with wet spectacles?? Fortunately, it almost never rains where I live - but if it did, I would have to take up stamp collecting.
One year, my wife and I visited Brighton - and as you do, went out on Brighton Pier. It was dreadful day - wet, cold and windy -- but we noticed all the pensioners sitting on the covered seats in the middle of the pier, with their raincoats on and their plastic head scarves. Travel is a wonderful thing -- because you see things that you would never see where you live !!
Morning! Was somebody talking the other day about us lot being brain-washed or something similar? - for reasons such as this - being delighted to get out of bed and go running in the rain at early o' clock - grannyjudes - you have definitely built this running lark into your life now - you're going to have a super day, full of beans and all ready for your next running outing which you know will be fine Hooray!
Yep - it's official - this is now a support group for addicted runners... Well done GJ... I think I can wait until Monday for my next "fix" but not much longer... enjoy the pampering - you earned it!
Well done and I hope you enjoy your massage
Baz, it's good fun to run in the rain. I remember thinking as I ran down a hill in the pouring rain, streaming down my face and I could hardly see, squinting it away from my eyes, what a wheeze it was. Nothing to do but run.
I've been on the beach or seafront in some terrible weathers in the UK but no-one seems to notice and everyone is out come what may. The stoic Brits that is! I have a photo of me on the beach in the North East in October I think, in a sandstorm. Hood up and pulled tight round my face to prevent being sandblasted. It's character-forming. LOL
I'd much rather have rain than the hot sun, so it all sounds good to me.....so good for you for getting out there. Have a great day of pampering and shopping, sounds lovely.
Had a really nice day, massage was amazaballs, love my new spiky haircut, my shopping consisted of Tesco but then Mum treated us to dinner, and back home doing loads of nothing, so yeah, pretty good day
