Straight in from work, ummed and arred for 5 mins then put on the running shoes (asda £10) and went for it before the demons even had chance to wake up.
Breezed through the 1st 3 min run and had a smug grin on my face. That was soon wiped off and slapped after 4 mins of the 5 min run as I begged Sarah to tell me it was over. I recovered just enough to run for 3 more minutes and as the sweat poured down my face I begged her not to start the final 5 min run but she just ignored me and off we went. I watched the seconds and minutes go by like they were days and weeks until finally it was over. I had done it!!!!!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
I'm sure she said I can now take a week off for good behaviour? I'll need 3 days to go and find my lungs which will be strewn across the streets somewhere
So for all you doubters I say this
If I can do it anyone can
Doughnuts are on me 😘

You conquered the demons! You won the fight! You completed all runs! Even with your lungs somewhere on the route, you are amazing!!!
Well done!
It seems I should start praying already, as the same run is waiting for me tomorrow just after work. I'll do the same as you and go out before any gremlin will have a Gance to talk me out of it
You'll smash it out of the park tomorrow. Was going to leave mine till tomorrow as I have a day off but so wanted to prove to myself that I could do it I couldn't wait. Plus I didn't want to be super stiff at work on Tuesday lol
Oh, I'm struggling. All my gremlins and demons of excuses mainly "I'm exhausted" and "It's cold" are loud in my head. I still have several hours of work. I hope I'll dig out some motivation and/or discipline to change clothes and push myself out the door.
I may not be able to create one this week. Too many important and urgent tasks at home.
My main argument is that I don't want to break a streak and if I'd postponed run for tomorrow, I would need to run on Saturday which is always a bigger challenge for me.
You can do it. It was only the determination not to fail that kept me going. Every time I looked at the stopwatch it had only gone on a few more seconds. I find a bit of shouting to myself gets me a bit further laced with a few choice profanities
Congratulations!! You did it!! Its crazy when you think a few weeks ago, 90s runs seemed like you reached a limit! An extra pair of lungs would be great, wouldn’t it? Slow it down, even if you think you can manage a bit more speed. I find that it’s so easy to go too fast on that first interval but you pay big time later! Good luck for rest of the week!! x
