First post-graduate run

After a week off to recover from graduation parties, it was back to pounding the streets. Mysteriously, I was looking forward to it. At one point during the day it looked like I would have to postpone this evening's run. I couldn't believe I was getting "frantic" at having to reschedule! I must be getting to like running??

Anyway, I did 30 mins and covered more or less the same distance, so I was happy with that. I'm going to try a 5k on Friday after another 30 mins on Wednesday. I'll use that 5k timing as a benchmark for future 5ks. So much planning, haha. Keep the running going :)

Parties? That’s what I call celebrating!

I’d say you’re becoming an addict if the though of rescheduling makes you frantic... long may it continue.

It was a nice frantic, though :) It was good to be back running. I guess the 9-week programme is being missed!!

It’s the best addiction there is! Good to see you back out there.

Yay! Good to see you Antonio! Hope it's going well with you.

I'm still plodding on & hoping to get faster bit by bit. Good to see you, anyway.

You’re hooked aren’t you?! 😅 I’m the same, isn’t it great? 👍

You’ll be over the moon when you complete your first 5k. And complete it you will. Just remember all the tips from C25K and you’ll be fine. Don’t worry about times to begin with (who am I kidding - I can’t help it, but I know I shouldn’t 🙄😅)

Let us know how you get on - and hey, how about parkrun? It’s fabulous! 👏👏👏

Thanks. Parkruns are definitely in my plans!

Hi

I did exactly the same when I finished c25k - first 5K - just under 36 minutes; 2nd 5K just over 35 minutes. Did feel a little dodgy at the end but also euphoric. I am now trying to do 1 X 5K; 1 X 30 minutes and 1 X short run as fast as I can per week!

Keep going and good luck🤗

That sounds good. I'd be happy with times like those. And not a bad weekly routine either. Keep it up :)

Well done you!! Frustrated about things getting in the way of our running?!!!! We’ve reached the other side!! It’s not if, but when, is our next run nowadays. And can life just stop getting popping up announced! It’s all about scheduling around here! 🙄😂❤️
