3 great runs

Week 7 Run 1 in a little rain 😀. Just about managed to get the run done before junior parkrun... nice couple of circuits of the park as the rain started to fall. This wasn’t an Apple juice fuelled run and went smoother than the last, which was hard to believe possible. Cooldown consisted of taking my turn sign and placing it them getting back for the start.

Juniors then put my speed into perspective... wow they were quick today and turned up in numbers, we figured it would be a quiet one due to the weather. Rain stopped for their second lap, and most stayed long enough to cheer the last one over the line.

Got home in time to get iPad on vpn and watch Eliud Kipchoge break the marathon world record... he didn’t have a bad run either 😂. Sadly he didn’t beat his 26.2 PB, that would have been amazing.

Fantastic UNM! Week 7!! Not long now!! Great achievement. I imagine the kids are a joy to watch. Parkrun is such a great idea! Didn’t see Kipchoge. Just got back from my son’s rugby game. 😍❤️

They are almost a joy to watch... My favourites are the ones that are slower than me 😂 which isn’t many of them! Actually I love them all, what better thing to do after a run than stand in the pouring rain clapping and cheering?

It’s great to see so many kids getting involved and staying fit. In my day it was the sort of thing only athletics clubs did. And you had to have a bit of a talent for it too! I did have my time with a club throwing the discus though! 😂! ❤️

Well done. That's great. I'm looking forward to week 7. I know I can do 25 mins now so just need to keep calm. Can't believe only 3 weeks to go.

Counting down nicely. Must be very inspirational watching the youngsters. No excuse - if they can, you can, regardless of timings!!

I think I could beat them all after a few pints 😂

It is good to see that next generation loving it... and yeah, if they can so can I.
