until we fly to San Francisco early next week. Today was my last longrun , I have one easy run and one tempo run and a Parkrun left before departure. Parkrun will be interesting - because my 40 year old son has taken up running - I think he is now in week 4 of C25K - and I am going to go over to his local Parkrun to accompany him on his first Parkrun.
I am hoping to get a short run and one long run in while in San Francisco - then it will be hotel and cruiseship treadmills through to the end of February.
I have a 10K "race" 3 weeks after we return - I am aiming to run the 10K in 1 hour 10 minutes - but I am still a long way away from that. Perhaps the excitement of the race day will propel me onwards. My 10K today was too conservative - I went out far too slowly for the first 5K - managed to pickup 30 seconds per K in the final 5Ks but that is not going to get me my 7:00mins per K that I am looking for.
