i’ve been entirely inspired by my daughter who successfully completed the Couch to 5K so I am starting my very first run this morning.

Hi there - it went way better than I expected! I did the second run today and actually kinda enjoyed it. Its strange how one builds up a negative picture in the mind about it all which holds one back - so glad to have made a start: I am sure it will get tougher as I go along...

Anticipation is often worse than the event I find - most of the time anyway...!

Glad you enjoyed it. I wouldn’t say it gets tougher. To my mind it’s about the same level but you’ve run further so there is a great feeling of achievement. I’ve said before somewhere that running kit should be fitted with a rear view mirror so we can see how far we’ve come.

Good luck

Welcome Zimbo ! Great decision. We’re all on your side here ! Don’t worry if 1:1 feels dreadful: it gives you your baseline and helps you set a realistic pace to build from. Enjoy !
