First run is honestly the toughest. You don't know the timing, you don't know how to pace. Hint is to go really slow. Next one will be better.

Go as slowly as you can. I started on a treadmill set at 4.5 mph! That's not much more than a brisk walk! The program tells you to start with a brisk walk, but you may need to slow down for the last 15 - 20 seconds *before* you start each run. For the first week, just concentrate on a slow run for as long as the program says. For the second week on, you may find a breathing pattern helps. I usually inhale for four steps, exhale for three. Try to make it an odd number. You can do this!

You can do this! I’m 48, started in February, still very overweight, but can go for 10k!!! I’m very very slow, but I’m doing it. As are you! Well done for starting. That’s the hardest part x

Congrats for starting it. That’s the first battle won. I’m a BIIIG guy and just finished week 4. They are hard. But take it at your own pace. You’ll do great. You’ll build up stamina and resilience as you work through the weeks. Don’t worry about speed, just do it at your own pace.

Hi, just

keep your pace nice and slow, there's no need to try speeding up. If your pace is a little more than walking pace then that's totally fine and you'll be able to breath in through the mouth out through the nose 😊

You'll soon be drifting through your runs 🏃🏃‍♀️

I started c25k in April I'm also overweight....a little less atm and I now run 3 times per week. So if I can do it then so can you 😊

Have fun & enjoy your running 😊🏃🏃‍♀️

Great job. That first one is the hardest.

The running gets easier, but it’s going to stay challenging for a while as the running time increases.

You can do this, you really can, it’s geared up for people just like you to work through, that’s why it’s such a famous plan.

Enjoy.

Yes you can! I’ve been sitting on my backside for the last 62 years and this morning I ran 2 x 10 mins (W6R2) and I can honestly say it was easier than any of the runs in the first two weeks! Keep going, take your time and listen to your body. And don’t forget your stretches!

You can and will do this 😁 the toughest part is step one out of the door..you have done that now ..

Yes some of the runs seem hard you will have good days along the way.. that is all part of the program .

Just run as slow as you need to so you can compete each timed run. That part will get easier as you progress and learn and your fitness improves ..

Good luck 😁
