I promised myself a trip to the seaside for todays run but I just ran out of time. And it went down hill from there
Headed off to the local woods, forgot my flipbelt and it was a bit chilly so decided to run in a very light weight jacket so could put phone and keys on pockets. Never again! The stuff in my pockets banged about and I got too hot. I was up at 5.45 this morning so rather pooped by this evening, having done 16k steps before my run. Needless to say I was not feeling the love for this session.
But dispite all the negatives I did complete it. Knees ache for the first time and legs very leaden.
So a curry and 🍺later I'm feeling revived 😋
Maybe Mondays run will be better x

Gremlins gremlins everywhere... lessons learned... run was tough... but the hero of this story beat all that, didn’t quit and just got the job done. Great run!
The seaside is still there, so you can use it for a treat on another run day. We all have bad days when everything that can go wrong, does. But you completed your run anyway, so very well done 👐🏻👐🏻. A curry, beer and a slob on the couch will work wonders for you and you’ll have a great successful run on Monday I’m sure.
At least you completed it! It's the worst when things just don't go right from the start, i'm sure a couple of days will have you running with renewed vigour!
Thank you Z. I also had music rather than my normal podcast but I'm going to revert to the podcast. People talking seems to distract me from the running whereas music didn't.
The main thing is you slayed the swarming gremlins. You had every reason to let them win, but you didn’t. So that’s awesome and you should be proud! 👏👏👏
Bet the next run will be a doddle! Just go slow and you’ll smash it and feel good again! 😀
