oh I'm not sure on both counts - sorry bit of a techno idiot - no worries as the achievement is within ourselves isn't it really?!!! Well done to all who've completed the C25K this weekend - a fantastic feeling:):)
Congratulations and well done on completing the C25k. I think you must be on the app but everyone who goes through the website to the forum can see your badge, trust me it is there. It is a great feeling graduation 😀.
Madgey here - just successfully completed C25K in 9 weeks very grateful for no injuries to delay my progress. What a great App! Can I have my badge please?
I managed to graduate last night. 9/10 weeks ago, I never would have believed that I could jog for 30 minutes non-stop but this last week filled with 3 x 30 minute runs have opened my eyes to what I can achieve when I put my mind to it.
This app is fab and I will continue building on the progress I have made. Thank you for opening my eyes to all of the different possibilities! Podge123
Miracath. I graduated today and I'm so so happy! Cannot believe that I've actually done it! I'm 61 & overweight & never previously run a step in my life! This program and this forum is absolutely the best! Thank you all so much
I graduated on Sunday and did my first post-programme run today! So proud of myself to complete a training programme at 54 and with no systematic experience of building my fitness. I am quite slow - I can run for 30 minutes but I don't cover 5K. I am working on speed next.
Good afternoon. ..I am JanetB9 and....guess what. ....I ran w9r3 today. ..yippeeee. It took longer than 9 weeks due to work commitments but found that longer breaks between runs helped when the runs got lonlonger. A big thanks to the app cus I couldn't have done it without you!
Yahoo - have completed week 9 run 3 and earlier than expected- I was slow but according ‘science’ if I was a normal body weight and 30 years younger I would have won a 🥇
Hi, I actually completed the C25k program on the 20th Aug, so while I've been replaying W9R3 ever since and its nice that Laura keeps congratulating me, it would be super to have one of your lovely Graduate badges 😃
Hi, I graduated in August but didn’t know about the badge! Advice from others on the site has been great. Still chasing the 30 minute 5k(35.17 is my best ) but not going to rush it. 😊
I graduated this morning - W9R3 and I did 5.14k in the 30 minutes. What an amazing programme to get me to this level at age 61. I'm so happy with Couch to 5k and what it's done for me. I'm looking forward to getting my badge!
Hi, this has such a fantastic program and have been so motivated over the summer, graduated today but will keep on going, thanks very much to everyone for all the help and encouragement, going to start again now with my son, lets go!!
Finally gone and graduated....after many ups and downs....I love C25k it really worked for me although don't think I will be making it to 5k anytime soon!
Wilberruns here. I graduated on Saturday and have done 2 graduations runs. I have never run before (I even skipped all PE at school!!). I’m fitter than I ever have been and it feels really good. Well done to everyone!
Graduated on Monday, 17th September. Tried various C25K apps before but always gave up. Not with the OneYou app made it through to week 9 R3. Next goal 5K in 30 mins
Finally finished - me and the lad got to the 28 minutes runs (week 8) then holiday intervened. He then had secondary school start so hasn't had the time or energy to finish. However one of the points of doing this was to build his fitness and confidence. At the end of his first day he came home and announced that not only was he doing an hours games lesson the next day but he'd chosen to stay after school for an hour of rugby training - which he also did the following day. He's happy and confident and much more active than previously so I regard that as a success for him even though he hasn't technically graduated.
In my case once we got back off holiday and I was back at work I've reverted to treadmill running as I can do that in my lunch hour rather than the darker evenings. It has the advantage that I can monitor my pace/distance within the 30 minute runs of week 9. Those got ticked off last week so I'm officially finished. On the last run I clocked about 4.6km in the 30 miles so not that far off the 5k. I suspect when I finally get round to doing our local park run I'll be a bit slower as it has a few hills on the course.
This week has been a bit of a "take it easy" week with just some swimming because I have my eye on a 20 mile charity walk on Sunday and want to make sure my knees aren't creaking before I start. Back to running next week.
Congratulations and well done. That is great news about your boy. I love this forum, it is hearing things like that perk up my day, thank you for the share. Rfc x.
Kirsty here... I’m a “Couch to 5k” Graduate 👩🎓 🎉 As someone who has never been part of a sports team, who feels genuinely uneasy at the thought of the gym and whose idea of hell is an organised exercise class or #wod, I am genuinely so proud of myself 🕺Never in a million years thought I’d be able to run for 30 minutes, even last week when I was managing 28 mins I still had doubts. Thanks Jo Wiley and C25K!
Morning, please can I have my shiny graduation badge? Graduated yesterday with a cooling run in the rain 😀 still can’t believe I can run for 30 mins, this really is an amazing programme and this forum is so motivational. Thanks all x
Did my first parkrun yesterday and have now run 5K! I ran for 30 minutes a couple of months ago after completing the couch to 5k but was only running 4k. It took me 40 minutes but I ran 5k yesterday at the local parkrun!
Just completed W9R3 and graduated - so happy - I am almost 63 and have never run / exercised in my life. Loving it and will definitely continue. Looking at doing a Park Run next. Could you make certificate to Sue Marshall. Thank you
Well, much to my amazement, I successfully made it through my 'last' run this morning! - very happy to have come this far. I'm not at 5k yet so that will be my next challenge.
I have done it!! Asthmatic and have never felt confident in my ability to run - this programme is absolutely amazing. Have treated myself to a new running top as a graduation pressie 😁
I did it, eventually. Week 9 was a bit of a wash out with returning to work and running afterwards isn’t the best so didn’t count the last two runs of week nine. Have now done three 30 minute runs in total.... please say it counts 🤞🏃♀️
Tried to copy from Strava but hasn’t let me paste the evidence (my IT skills are sadly lacking)
Didn’t quite make the 5k and the podcast cut out half way through but I kept going and felt that I could have carried on. I am thrilled to have stuck to the programme, albeit with slightly longer rest periods between runs over the last couple of weeks.
So if I can run for 30 minutes but it takes 50 minutes to do a 5K...keep going until I can do 5K in 30 minutes for a graduate badge? If so, see you in a couple decades maybe hehe!
