Sounds like a good plan to me. Great job Dave, especially in walking shoes... blimey. I bet those running shoes had you checking youβd remembered to put them on!
Fantastic Dave! No way I could have even done W1 in running shoes! π
Good luck with your graduation run - youβll smash it in your new runners. π Consolidating for a while with the 30 minute runs is good. Your pace will sneak up gradually.
I graduated last week and have been doing consolidation runs. Iβm going to stick to 30 min or 5k runs until it gets easier and then Iβm considering listening to Lauraβs C25K+ podcasts.
πhaha. Yeah so professional!! The back pocket is rubbish though (wonβt fit my iPhone 8 Plus in it!!) so I had to run with it in my hand. They do however help stop any form of chafing, which as we all know is horrid.
I have seen these fabric bum bags that go all around the wait. Bum bags just remind me of when I used to go on family holidays to France. My dad always had one. ππ
My graduation run is this Sunday so at the same stage - can't wait to finish! I've just ordered some proper running shoes as my son laughed at my current trainers. Think I will wear them once I've graduated as a 'well done'! And buy some better shorts - all the gear, no idea!!
I haven't measured how far I have run yet as too focussed on the time. I'm sure it's not 5k so next step to focus on distance? Any recommended App to use?
Absolutely. Iβm a bit like that - all the gear no idea, I guess we just run? π
A lot of the people have said on here to focus more on the time rather than distance at least until you know what the crack is. I use the Endomondo app which is quite good and the basic one is free. I start it when I start the c25k app.
