Week 9 Run 2

Woke up this morning, it was lovely outside here in Dublin, decided I would put the run off until after I'd been into the office as I wasn't expecting to be there all day as I just about finished yesterday, I had some testing to do and some updates to the design, any way, I digress.

I got back to the hotel nice and early and chilled for 10 minutes, threw on the running gear and headed for the stairs (I now use them wherever and whenever possible), got on the treadmill, swore to myself as I had forgotten the Bluetooth headset, run up stairs, grab them run back down.

Off I went, the run started, 5 minutes, 10, 15, 20, then Laura's telling there were 5 minutes left. Then it was all over, the warm down walk went so fast too.

I was a red sweaty mess but a happy one, still 0.5k faster then my normal speed, one more run to graduating (Saturday morning), I may have graduated before but, if I'm honest, this one means more to me.

So far, I am about 4 belt holes down but I haven't weighed myself in about a month.

Happy running everyone.

Good luck to you LeeU for your graduation run on Saturday, not a parkrun by any chance.

Afraid not, I need to transition to running outside, my plans for that start in about a month following my consolidation runs.

I will be doing a Park Run though, hopefully before the end of September.

Good for you LeeU, I have parkrun on the brain, it's my first parkrun this Saturday and I am getting a little excited about that, not sure where I should position myself at the start, won't be at the front, if I go at the back I might be held up a little, I could even ask someone who runs a 5K at my average pace of around 35 minutes,(quickest 5K 32.25, slowest at around 38.55) I'll just have to see how it goes come Saturday morning. 😊 🏃

In Dublin, lucky you! Think you’ve earned yourself a Guinness or two after all that! The, err, iron in it has medicinal qualities for a 🏃‍♂️😂😂

Lol, I did partake in a Guinness last night, only the one, it's law isn't it that you have at least one pint when your are in Ireland.
