Week 9 Run 2

5.53am start and although it was cool to start with, I was very hot by the end. Still can’t understand how people run at midday !

Really enjoyed this run probably because I’d got through the psychological barrier of running 30 minutes on the last run. So when Laura said only 5 minutes to go and slow your pace I actually increased it - that must be the rebel in me coming out. Anyway - only one left until graduation 👍🏻. Good luck to those on Week 9 but also to everyone on this journey - it is amazing and the best thing I’ve done in a long while ☺️. Keep going slow and steady y’all.

Good question. I like to set

myself goals - so 50

Parkrun before end of 2020. I may go on to 10k but not straight away. Just doing this for my health/fitness. Do you have any goals Tasha ?

I’d like to get my 100th parkrun by my 2nd Couch to 5k start date anniversary but not sure I’ll do it as I’m currently marathon training and that may get in the way on some Saturdays 🤣 My main targets were a sub 30 5k and a sub one hour 10k which I’ve got now so I haven’t got any others set. I’ll reassess after October. This program can change your life!

Sounds like doing a marathon is an amazing target - much respect.

I like your time targets and they may be something I can aim for too whilst Parkrunning. All the best and good luck with the training - please keep us updated on how you are doing ☺️

Thank you. I’m terrified to say the least 🤣

Moving up to 10k is easier than doing Couch to 5k as it’s endurance to keep going rather than being able to run. You could sign up to the ‘bridge to 10k’ forum and just have a little look over there.

Good luck!
