Health food is very expensive. Healthy food is cheaper than unhealthy food. I lost 10 stones without buying a single “health food” product. You can too. Cook from ingredients and make sure you eat enough calories to sustain you at your weight and adjust regularly.
Most health food is also BS... they play the cup and balls trick with fat, sugar and salt. Advertise low one, don’t tell you the other two are up. Spend a few pounds and get a hairy bikers diet cookbook (there are a few) they go under the name hairy dieters... one is fast food if you don’t have lots of time. All low fat, sugar and salt, calories counted for you and lots of room for snacks in the daily counts... bloody tasty too!
You don’t need health food! Fruit and veg is cheap. loads of inexpensive meat and fish choices too Depends where you shop 🙂 I shop locally and use the butcher and greengrocer, grow my own too, Lidl and Aldi are good
NHS Couch to 5k running programme is fabulous and is a great introduction to running and oberhauling your health and wellbeing.
Alongside this forum there is one for losing weight too.
I shop like you... the greengrocer is cheaper than the supermarket, I don’t even look at fruit and veg or meat in the supermarket any more, and I’ve trained my daughter to walk past it.
Eating healthy is do-able as youre not buying expensive snacks, takeaways, pop etc Just think how much that costs, you’ll save a bomb which you’ll be able to spend on ingredients to make healthy meals, and a pair of running shoes 👍😃
