Really pleased to have completed Week 5 run #2 with relative ease. Was going to repeat this run but Iβve decided to have a go at run # 3. The way Iβm trying to look at is that it is one minute less than today in total and instead of a 5 minute fast walk I just need to keep running for 4 minutes between the two eight minutes instead. I need mechanisms like this in my head to keep things in perspective. I made sure to keep up a really good pace during the walk so that Friday wonβt seem so much harder.
I followed the advice of peeps on here to keep my running pace really slow (quite an achievement as Iβm not very fast anyway) and I will make sure to do that again on Friday.
The support here is fab so thought I would share my experience for anyone else about to do Week 5, run 2.
I loved today fingers crossed for Friday.

Felt exactly the same way after W5R2 but persevered and did manage run 3 last night, much to my amazement! The last two minutes were a slog but hang on in there - you can do it.
Hi, just to say I like your thinking π I'm also doing W5R3 tomorrow (Friday), it seemed daunting at the start of the week but after doing R2 with, like you, relative ease, I'm really looking forward to R3 now!
