It's the weekend and time for my morning run.
Decided on a different route and off I set, music playing and not a care but yet enjoying the run. 42 minutes later I slowed down for my cooling walk.
When I got home found I was 300m short of 5k. Off Monday so going to do the same run but this time add a bit to get the distance.

Never mind, Andy.. There's always next time, eh? Just sneak up on that last 300m and give em a good hard slap

It will get that slap Monday morning around 5am lol.

Oh wow! That’s brilliant...well done!

Thank you. I could say it was over 5k if I added the warm-up and cool down parts but I try to only record the 'running' , more like steady jog, bit.
My Polar results showed I did 30 minutes in heart rate zone 3 and 10 minutes in 4 (uphill bits).

Wow Andy that’s still a great run

This is the one area where stats can steal the joy. After all, you'd just had an "enjoyable" 42min run!
Remember when the very thought of a 42 min run was nothing like "enjoyable"?
You'll beat it Monday but don't let it detract from an otherwise excellent run 👍😁

Phones are notoriously inaccurate. I bet you did 5k really 👍

Wish it was the phone but unfortunately it was my Polar M400 tracker which is linked to Strava.
I know now I need to take the 2nd right not the 1st right which will add those extra meters.

Not really unhappy as the route seemed to have lots of longish slight inclines and very few downhill bits. So a proper heart workout.
The other route has a steeper hill and a very short steep down bit. It's just over 1km per loop but leaving that for a Sept debut lol.
