Must admit, after the elation of running 20mins at W5R3, tonight's run was a bit of an anti-climax. I know this and the next run are leading up to the 25mins run at R3, but I so felt I hadn't done anything! I know that's not the case as every run builds you up for the next, etc. So, overall, still happy and looking forward to R3.

I know how you feel - I felt the same a little bit. But you are right- the programme has been spot on so far.

Good luck with the rest of week 6 😁

Well done Antonioa. I did the same run yesterday and have r2 tomorrow. Really enjoying the programme. So much so that I miss running on my rest days. Good luck with your r2 x

You too :)

I was similar. In fact lots of people find the first two runs in W6 either difficult or just boring. You’ll likely be fine once you get back to the continuous runs.

Thanks. I thought it was just me :)

Well at least you got through it. I remember mine being really tough and also an anticlimax. If I’m honest I never really felt the elation quite as intensely again after week 5. Even graduation wasn’t quite as exciting to me as that first 20 minute run.

But it seems that you’re determined and sailing through this with good stats too. Once it’s done I can see you working out a program for yourself and improving even more!

Well done you!

Thank you. Yes, you're right. I had built up so much for W5R3 that I also don't think any other run will achieve the same elation. Obviously, I'll keep going :)

As for future plans, I'll readily admit to not "liking" running. I was a sprinter in my younger days and detested anything above 400 meters. I'm doing this because it's a good way to keep fit (I need to!!) and there's a target to achieve, ie graduation. The stats and the awesome comments and support from you all also keep me going which is just as well as there'd be little else to motivate me!!

After graduating, I will need a "plan" as I'm not doing this to just say I did it and then stop. That would be pointless. Probably park runs with a run or two during the week. But for now, W6R2&3 are on the horizon.

Keep up the running.

I’m enjoying the parkruns. I’ve done my 5th now. Though I’m finding them tough. I need to do more but I’ve always an excuse!

New excuse: I’m going to Boston tomorrow.

No excuse: I’ve just packed my trainers.

😂

Good luck with the rest of week 6. 👍🏼

Thanks. Boston USA or Lincs? Either way, enjoy :) and make sure you do run!!
