I decided to set off a little earlier and a couple of minutes into the 5-minute warm up, the heavens opened! Had I delayed my start, I may well have not bothered once I'd looked out of the porch. Nevertheless, drenched within seconds and on the basis of once soaked through you can't get any wetter, I carried on.
The first eight minutes' run was hard for the first two minutes but then before I knew it, the eight minutes were up. The second eight seemed easier; maybe because I'd "warmed up". So, one happy, drenched bunny and so, so looking forward to R3 and that 20 minute run
Stay dry, folks

Thank you for your encouraging words. Rain definitely welcome but the timing could be better. I set off for work this morning in just jeans and a T-shirt. Then, it started to rain mid-morning and didn't stop until I got home, but not before my first drenching of the day. So, that's two soakings today, haha. It can only get better!!
Well done on completing your run despite the weather. I guess all of us that are reletively new to running need to aclimatise to doing so in less favourable conditions as autumn will here before too long.
Well done! I love rain - I'd rather be soaked by rain than sweat - either way I'm soaked 😂 Good luck with W5R3 - it’s a real milestone but you'll be fine.
