W2R2 jelly legs

W2R2 just done. At one point my legs felt like absolute jelly and I thought they’d give way. Today was tough. But I ran first thing, which I don’t usually. Anyone else have jelly legs?

Well done - not had the jelly feeling as such but mine do get heavy sometimes when I run like someone has strapped a concrete block on and it's major effort to keep lifting them. 😊

It's maybe just the way they are reacting to you doing a change of routine - as long as it's not painful I'm sure it'll pass. Good luck for next wk x

I ran w3r1 early this morning and chose my route so it would be flat for at least one of the 3min runs, but I still ended up running (or should we say very slow jogging) up what seemed like a big slope and my legs felt really heavy. I haven't had jelly legs (yet) but we'll done for completing the run however you felt. I'm sure it will be easier on the next run. If it was easy to run we'd all be runners. It's the perseverance through niggles, wobbles, breathing problems, aches and pains that will build stamina and endurance - at least that is what I tell myself

I am incredibly lucky that where I live there are no hills - the only incline I have is the slipway onto the seafront. Ironic really as Cumbria is well known for mountains and fells- thankfully just not in my bit😁

Yep, had jelly legs on a few occasions but it does get better!

At times it does - this is when you put one foot in front the next. Where I run I have to go up a small incline which when my legs feel like lead it’s tough going. So I’m planning my run to keep me on the flat.🙂

Yes, had them quite a few times - I used to call them 'Bambi legs' 😂 It doesn’t seem to happen any more thankfully.

I’ve had few incidents of jelly legs, where they feel like they have no muscles! But I told them to get and grip and carry me, and they’ve listened. 😀

It’s the reason the programme is so good and works with intervals at the beginning - it gradually builds up strength in the legs, which after all are taking a pounding, and eventually it all gets easier! 😀😀👍🏻👍🏻

Good luck, and keep running. 🏃‍♀️👍🏻🙌
