Jelly legs. And arms.

This is me. I've suddenly turned into a wobbly jelly. Well, to be fair, I may have always had wobbly bits as viewed from the outside but now I'm wobbly on the inside as well. :(

I don't know what's the matter with me but the last fortnight's runs have all been way too hard and definitely in the "practice" run category. (I know the word "fail" is banned here).

I went to the doc's yesterday and he's requested a blood test just to check for anaemia/thyroid issues. As I've had a sinusy head for the last two weeks he thinks it might just be something viral which will go away as mysteriously as it came. If the blood tests come back negative and the symptoms don't disappear I've to go back.

Not sure if I should keep trying to run or just take some days off from exercise.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

So sorry to hear you have not been up to par recently! Hope you get it sorted soon!

I take a planned 5 day rest every 5th or 6th week. It seems to replenish my energy levels. I believe top althletes take a week off regularly too. Maybe it's worth allowing your batteries to recharge a bit and see how things go?

Take the rough with the smooth. Even you grads are allowed off periods. But you still get out there and battle on and thats the win in my eyes.

Take a break... wobbles are not fun...:( Sinus trouble can be horrid for giddiness and light headed-ness too.

Sometimes, a virus or just a plain old chill can really hit us hard.

Sit back, pamper yourself, stay warm and plan some lovely routes for when you feel better :)

Healing hug heading your way... :)

Do be good to yourself - hopefully some explanation will be found and you will be back on form soon but in the meantime take it easy. Frustrating I know but better than adding injury to whatever is going on :(

I agree with others, best to rest up and let your body fight off this virus, or whatever it is! Take care, hope you feel more like your usual self soon.

I agree too with the above comments. So sorry to hear you're not feeling on top form Anne, but "rest is best" in my book! A wee stroll, if you fancy some fresh air and it makes you feel better, but otherwise stay warm and cosy and look after yourself. Big hugs winging their way to you. 🤗🤗xx

Thank you everyone! You're a nice bunch, you know. :)

I might try a jogette on Sunday after work but I'll see how I feel. I might not! I'm just marshaling at parkrun tomorrow but will cycle there. Cycling is easier than running cos you can do it sitting down...

Wobbly!? You been at the Scotch again Anne?😁

Seriously though, have a break and take it easy, not worth trying to carry on battling through when not feeling good..😊
