Unbelievable!!

It’s taken me since 17th April to complete this program- some runs I’ve done twice and a few weeks off with a sore hip but I have finally reached “my GRATUATION run ! I’ve come from struggling to breath after 60 seconds to 30 minutes non stop trundling. I can’t say it’s been easy and I haven’t always enjoyed it but what I have enjoyed is the feeling of accomplishment at the end of every run and this morning at 5.45am that feeling is amazing!

For a over weight 57 year old Grandma who has never EVER run in her life not even at school (always had a note as suffer from asthma) this is a miracle !

I have to thank you all on here for the help and support you have provided. I haven’t written much myself but read every day. When I’ve struggled there has always been a post that has made me feel better and put me back in the right frame of mind. So many kind and supportive messages on here to each other, it is heart warming to read. So thank you each and every one of you as you have all been part of my, albeit long, journey. I will continue to trundle, doubtful that I will ever get to 5k in 30 min but I don’t care “look at me I’m a runner” xxx

Wow, well done! 👏🏃‍♀️🥂👍 It's a tremendous achievement at any age or stage of life, but yes, for us grandparents it's certainly a bit special. Give yourself a huge pat on the back! Step up onto the podium and grab your graduation badge here: healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Congratulations and huge hi fives for keeping going it's so easy to stop when things interrupt.🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🍾 Enjoy the moment and make sure you put your name down for graduation badge.

As for the 5k in 30 mins ignore it. I'm 1 year on and have not yet broken my 30 min barrier but I still run 3 times a week and have slowly worked up to a 14k long run so anything is possible.😁

Yes, that is truly a miracle 'let-go', I am sure you will have inspired many others on your achievement, especially that up until you began C25K you had never ran owing to your asthma. We all get plenty of support here on health unlocked C25K website. I bet your grandchildren will be very proud of their 57 years YOUNG Grandma, once again congratulations. You did choose a very early time for your run.

Lol !! I’ve done all my runs at that time - I look horrendous in my leggings with a tomato head so no one is around at that time ! Also I’m done for the day then, luckily I’m an early bird and this one definitely caught the worm this morning x

Well done- you did it 😊 Huge congratulations lets-go, I bet you feel invincible. 👍👍. What a fantastic achievement and the 5k in 30 mins is totally voluntary- the main thing is that you completed the programme.

Get on the podium and celebrate 👏👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😊
