Absolutely gutted!

Started my penultimate walk up walk and C25K run this morning and all good until about half way through. I started to get a tightness in the calf, but managed to complete the run.

Now I’m experiencing discomfort when walking. I hoped initially it might be a bit of cramp, but worried that I may have pulled it!

I guess I’ll just have to wait and see now if I can do the graduation run on Friday 🙏🏻

The joys of trying to keep fit! 🙄

Oh no! I’ve just got back from my penultimate run too - hope you’re able to finish the programme as planned on Friday and I see you in the graduates roll call!

Cheers. Here’s hoping. Good luck with your final run 👍🏻

That’s a pain in more ways than one ... don’t take unnecessary risks though, if it needs a few days’ rest then take them: the graduation run will still be there for you to enjoy after that.

Cheers. I left it a week and did my graduation run yesterday 👍🏻.

Still experienced the discomfort later in the run 🙄, so will leave it a while longer before running again. I’ve purchased a foam massage roller which people have recommended. See how it goes 🤔

I had to take a week out during week 8. It actually made a big difference. The discomfort was a lot less even on my first run back and now (a month later) I usually have no discomfort at all and my recovery time after a run is much shorter now. I had been pushing quite hard before my break (running every second day, hadn’t had a two day rest for three weeks) so I’ve learned from that but I do also think the hot conditions had a lot to do with it. Much easier now it’s a bit cooler.
