It feels like torture because you probably find it hard not to torture yourself, of course. This may turn out to be your lot in life. Without the torture, you might actually not enjoy it as much - feeling like you're holding too much back. When you get that final run in, maybe you might just hang around on the 30 minute mark for a few weeks or months, and wait to see if the pain diminishes. (And see if what you get out of running without the pain also feels worthwhile to you).
