Welcome. Just take it slowly and steadily, think snail and you will be fine. Come back and let us know how it went.👍

If you haven’t run for a long time (20+ years in my case) don’t be surprised if you find running 1 minute a real struggle- we all did (and was surprised in my case - had no idea how unfit I was)

Despite that we came out the end of the programme being able to run for 30mins

Keep it slow - if you can’t breathe you are going too fast

The programme works! Best of luck! 🏃🏻‍♀️

Thank you guys! If I really struggle with the 1min run should I try and push through It or go into a walk and then do it again?xx

If you’re struggling Samantha just slow down! Try to perform the slowest jog known to mankind! You will be doing enough don’t worry! Remember slooooow! Im sure it’s going to be a great experience! Let us know. ❤️

Haha I remember posting a few weeks how horrified I was when a man walked passed me!! No matter though I have endured and might be slow but I’m out there. Take all the advice about slowing things down and building up your stamina

That’s exactly right KazH01! I’ve had a couple of elderly performing artists on my runs! One performing a bionic woman and another a moonwalker! Didn’t care, I found it humorous! And after feeling so good afterwards “Don’t care, I’m out there”, became my mantra! Smile, wave, say good morning, because you’re a runner! 😁😁😁❤️

Try to push through it, but remember: Keep. It. Slow.

I’m so disappointed in myself guys 😞 only managed 20mins of it, couldn’t take anymore. How pathetic is that!xx

It is so hard to run 60 seconds to start with. Treat this as a practice run and And do it again in a few days and go really slowly. You will do it.

Not pathetic at all. Put it down as a dry run, rest tomorrow, try again Thursday?

Samantha it’s the first step and you’ve taken it! You were off the couch and out for 20 mins. Have a rest day and then give it another go. Well done. ❤️

Just keep at it and don’t beat yourself up. Running for 3 minutes the first time nearly killed me and I just thought what a pathetic mess I am lol. I stuck with it and tonight I did w7 r1 which was 25 minutes solid running. 7 weeks ago I would never have believed I could do it and I really think it’s mental as much as physical. Good luck and I know you can do it

Thank you guys! I’m not going to let it get me down, going to do it every other day. I smoke too which doesn’t help so going to ring pharmacy in the morning and get some patches sorted I think xx

Keep trying - you will progress. If you don’t manage a run (different to finding it hard - we all do!) treat it as a practice and try again after your rest day - take the programme at your own pace - you are only competing with your previous couch sitting self. You did 20 mins more today than yesterday 👏👏👏

I smoke too all be it less now than in April. I want to stop smoking but for me atm I'm concentrating on running n my diet. I make sure I don't smoke for at least an hour before running which helps with my breathing. I smoke less generally when I'm out and about rather than being stuck in the house.
