So I was minding my own business... just finishing up my last run and there was this bloke on a mobility scooter.
I kid you not when I started my last run/sprint I swear he started racing me! 😂😂 and I think he beat me! I base this on because I ran out of path and needed to cross over to get back home.
I have to admit it’s a first for me!

My sympathies totally! Those scooters are supposed to not be ridden at more than 4 mph, but they are certainly capable of more, so don’t fret!
A few years ago my sil and I signed up for race for life. Sil was not well at all (we both have breast cancer, hers worse than mine) but we agreed we’d walk as fast as we could maintain. Then 6 weeks before the run I tore a ligament in my knee. On crutches for a week and then intensive physio, enabled me to consider actually doing it. So we did. We were slow. Boy, were we slow.
But it brought it on home to us when we got overtaken by an elderly lady with a wheeled walker and a troop of hula hoopers. But we finished and felt so proud to.
And next time I swear I shan’t be overtaken like that,,,...
