For the first time!

So... Today was the day i completed my first day of c25k. However my journey started on Sunday when i downloaded the app along with myfitnesspal again for the 70th time.

I have had a lot of barriers (plus my snooze alarm is the best!) but tonight i bit the bullet and i went out for a run ( no idea where/or y tonight!)

Yes i was worried that the man walking his dog got a fright as i headed towards him and yes i got the dreaded stitch about 20 mins in (do i keep running or do i stop!) but i powered through and finished my first dsy. My legs felt like jelly and my vains may not have approved in this running thing which my brain has decided we r doing but i feel great for doing it.... On day down!! ✋

Your veins will love it once they get used to it ! Take it slow and steady - this isn’t about sprinting. Relax and enjoy your journey x

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

For stitch, slow down and take full deep breaths.

Enjoy your journey

Well Done. Slow down on your next run, hopefully that will solve the stitch issue. If you can keep going through the stitch great, but do it super super slowly to help it not return on your next interval. So next run Weds or Thurs I guess - et it in the diary. Good luck, you've done it once you can do it again x

That’s brilliant well done. I downloaded the app months ago but listened to it yesterday- on the couch!

It isn’t scary at all and despite a holiday on Sunday, I’m going to do a session before I go to stop demonising it.

You have inspired me. Thank you
