Completed my 2nd parkrun today ran the full distance unlike my first attempt, it was hot so was a hard slog but so happy with my time of just over 35mins. For those still doing the programme stick with it as it really works, I'd never have thought I could run 5k but I did and although it's hard you'll feel amazing when you finally crack it!

Well done NuShooz. How did you find the Parkrun compared to C25K? I found that with C25K I can run for 30 mins but even including the distance for the two walks at the start and finsih I'm still not covering 5K.
Thanks, to be honest I did all but 2 runs of my couch to 5k on the treadmill and I didn't manage to get to 5k with the 30 mins run & 2x 5min walks. And although I found it tougher running outside I think the fact you have other runners around you spurs you on a bit. My 1st park run I walked 5mins, ran 28 mins then walked before finishing with a bit of a run as I was following the plan then think it was run3wk8 and I finished that in just over 36 mins so I think the treadmill lies or I just become competitive in a crowd of runners! π Keep at it you'll get thereπ, I've never done any running until I did the c25k & I sat on my couch a lot! π
