First ParkRun in the bag!

I survived! Thank you all for the tips and advice, it really helped. I was very nervous & unsure at the start and even felt a bit teary. I just felt so out of place, but soon relaxed & realised how nice everybody is. Sarah bailed on me as I just couldn't get the app to work so I was left with only robot lady from map my run. So felt like I was doing it a bit blind, I intended to run for 28 mins in line with w8 r1 but ended up going for 35 mins, then walking for 2 minutes and running the last bit. My finish time was 40mins, and I was 278th out of 300, do no need for Mo to worry just yet, but at least I wasn't last! Definetly going back again!

Wow! That's so great, you ran for ages. You must be thrilled.

You need to have a word with Sarah for bailing on you though ☺️

Well done on your first Parkrun Charlotte😊...sounds like you enjoyed it.

You did really well and must feel so proud of yourself.

Maybe take an extra rest day before W8 R2 to recover 😊x

Great piccy too.😊

Thank you, yes I think at least 2 rest days may be needed before the next run! So pleased I made myself do it, when I first got there I was honestly so tempted just to turn round and go back home. I got scared seeing all the professional looking people in Lycra! 😨

Well done. Great time for your first Parkrun. You did very well. Parkrun is very addictive, the weekend doesn't feel the same without one.

I fear this may start being the case!

Well done you especially without your usual encouraging Sarah, map my run mechanical voice lady...mmm on the plus side she is not too shouty on the negative you don't think she gives a monkeys...

But with or without Sarah you did an amazing run today . Brilliant.

I lost Sarah today as well - maybe she's on holiday! I'm aiming to start parkrun when I graduate. Would be really happy with a result like yours. Well done!
