OMG just completed my w6 r3 tonight but found it my most difficult run as yet. I didn’t give up but I do know that I ran slower than my usual pace and swore more at Jo as I went on my run!!! 😝🙈😏😜
Did others find that? Scared if I’m gona be able to handle w7 😬😬😬

Im sure I struggled with W6 too Peet. Nothing wrong with running slower. You did it! Don't worry you have done whats required and you can do the next ones too. Keep going! ❤️
Thank you fabulous. Yes I suppose the main thing is finishing the run. It was a really weird feeling as I could literally feel myself going so slow today. All I kept saying was “Two more weeks and I will be graduating! I’m running 5km almost without stopping!! ”😍😍😍
I do hope it feels a little more easier after wk7 r1. Just scares me a little if I can complete. I will continue x
I think everyone on this forum is doing a great job and love having a read at posts. It’s the running community that keeps me going! So wk7 here I come. ☺️
I think it's perfectly normal to find some of the programme more difficult than others. We're all still learning to run and this was one of these learning runs! I personally struggled with week 7 but the way through was to just slow it down! You will do good! Slow and steady🏃
TBH week 6 catches a lot of people out - it certainly did me but after this week there are no more intervals - just running. This was important to me as I’d always adopted the mindset that my running norm was the previous weeks longest run. The W6 run was 25mins became my new norm. It only really became the norm after W7 (yes W7 was hard). Once I got through W7 I only had to increase my norm by 3 mins and then by 2mins. They say that getting to the 30mins is more about mindset than physical capability. Physically you can do it - you just need to tell your brain you can 😀 can’t remember who this quote is attributable to but it goes ‘whether you think you can or you can’t- you’re right’ best if luck - you’ll crack it no problem - keep us posted 👍🏻
Thanks paulbrad for a lovely post. I don’t usually dare to look at the program for the weeks ahead but wow no more interval now!? I like your saying 25 min became your norm. I hope it does mine too.
Your mind plays so many tricks and games with you but I will keep reminding myself got this far and never in a million years did I think I would or could be a runner!!! I am right and will continue 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♂️🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♂️ 😊
The mind can be a real beast at times - one of the craziest mind fucks I have is during the transition from walking to running 🤪 Literally that moment you stop walking and start running - my head tells me that there is something wrong about the switch - a complete load of tosh I know but it’s there. If it helps I found W7 hard (not as hard as 6) but after that things improved. BTW you’re right you ARE a runner - bask in it 😁😁
