Saw GP yesterday and also had massage on my neck strain post riding accident. Felt so much better today decided to put on my running gear and go for a brisk walk/jog and see how I felt. Really worried I would be back to square one or that my feet hitting the ground would further jar my neck - but the GP was right - it actually helped loosen me up and I felt quite comfortable. Took it much slower than usual and completed W8R1 without any issues. Going to make sure I have at least 2 days rest before I move on just incase. Thank you all for your support. So disheartening when you have to take a break - but the 8 days off didn’t seem to have as much impact as I thought it would. Graduation back in sight 👍👍👍

Well done.
I had the same length gap on the IC at the same point (but for much less exciting reasons) and came back fine.
Extra rest days is a really sensible precaution. Enjoy the next one.
