Hi I have just done run 2 of week 2 and after 30 years on the sofa and being heavy it’s at my limit

I had a peek at week 3 and it has 3 minuets or running I don’t think I will be able to do it should I just repeat week 2 and see how I feel after

Cheers Paul

You can take 30 weeks to do it. It doesn't matter, you've just got to keep your momentum going.

Thanks for that I will stick at it I hate doing it but feel great after

That's one of the benefits, the after run glow. 😁

Hi Paul, you can repeat if that makes you more confident about ultimately moving on. But you are ready to take on week 3 by the end of week 2, so you could give it a go and see.

Top tip for increasing chance of completing is to slow slow slow it down!

Have you read the FAQ? It's in the pinned posts - actually there's a few FAQ posts but the main one is the 'how to run C25K' :)

I will give it a try just I am counting the seconds to the end of the 90 so don’t think I could double it by Monday but will see

As I recall I worried most about this increase too.

If you're counting the seconds, maybe try some distraction techniques? Look around you and count trees or something? Count snails as they go past you - you should be running that slowly at first :) (it's all about learning to run, before speeding up)

Are you using the app and your own music? You could try a distracting audiobook or some comedy (that was my trick of choice).

Good luck!

Sounds like you are going to need to find some slower gears for those legs of yours. Most of the battle will be mental - you convincing yourself that you can do it. Good luck.

I'm about to do week 3 run 2 today. At the start I didn't think I could run 60 seconds and I did. Week 2 I didn't think I'd run 90 seconds and I did. I've found it hard but I've done it. So after a weekend of worry and thinking I couldn't run 3 minutes and should I repeat 2 I decided to trust the program and I did it. Actually it wasn't as bad as I expected. I mastered the slowing right down at last. You could trust the program and see what happens. Today is the first run where I have actually been looking forward to it!
