So, I missed my morning run yesterday after failing to wake up at a reasonable hour, so I decided to wait until it was cool in the evening. So at 7pm in sunny Lancashire, I set off. As I've said before, the first 10mins are uphill.
I have been very proud of myself, I have been reasonably comfortable with all the other runs. However!!!! My the time I reached 20mins every second felt like a minute.i was pleading with Sarah milican to say "just another minute, you're doing really well" but it didn't come. By the time I got to 25 - which I'd been very happy with last week - I was begging out loud for her to say "you did it" I battled through and pulled out every reserve I had, but I can honestly say this nearly broke me. Weather I'm not fit to run 28 minutes, or I underestimated how hot it still was I don't know. One thing I do know is that I will persevere....but I'm not as confident of my park run at the end of July as I was.

I’m a week behind you but really struggled with w7r2. I blamed the heat and dehydration but then checked my running app. I had gone a lot faster than previously and so couldn’t quite manage the minutes (and I was hot and dehydrated). I’m sure your next will be easier, the program is designed to make manageable increments each time. Good luck x
Thank you I use runlog.com and this time I decided to set it off when I started the 28mins to see exactly how far I'd ran...totally fluffed it and apparently it only logged .16 of a mile! Will be trying again tomorrow, but I have decided to drive to one of our local reservoirs and run in the flat this time
That’s a good idea - it might even be cooler too! I tried an alternative route last week but it was so long that I had a long walk home. I need to judge it all a bit better 😂
