So I was very close to not going running today; I had a horrific day at work and ended up in the office until late and was feeling generally very "meh". However, just as I was about to put on my PJs when I got home I had a change of heart and dragged myself to the gym (it was too hot for an outside run and I wanted to take a big bottle of water).
I was a bit worried about this one as I really wasn't "feeling it", but nevertheless, I set the treadmill to 8.5km (slow and steady wins the race... right? :)) and set off!
The first 10 minutes were quite mentally challenging, although I found my breathing is so much more controlled on a treadmill vs outside (?). However, after the first 10 the final 15 absolutely FLEW past and I was quite disappointed when it was over! I even managed to run for a bit of a the cool down as well!
To summarise a long ranty post: I DID W6R3, LAURA SAID I'M A RUNNER AND I'VE NEVER RAN FOR THAT LONG I AM OFF TO WEEK 7!!!!
