Overweight but completed the 9 weeks and proud

Well that's me completed the couch to 5k app and if I can do it anyone can. I am overweight never stick to anything and have now downloaded couch to 10k. It would be a lie to say the weeks get easier they don't. I have never had a run were I have had a dry patch on my t-shirt but that just means I know I am pushing myself. I have only done this on a treadmill as I don't feel confident enough to run outside. A I am happy with how far I have cove I struggled running/jogging a minute in week one to running/jogging a full 30 minutes without stopping. Hope this gives even one person the motivation to go and complete the app for themselves. Good luck to all who take on this challenge.

Hi, it’s great that you got through it, don’t worry for a minute how you did it. The treadmill works better for some people than others and by running for 30 minutes you’ve proved you can do it! 😀

You’ve graduated for heaven’s sake, and that’s testament to all the hard work you’ve put in 👍👏👏

Congratulations on your achievement! 🏆🎓🙂

Congratulations! I think you've done great! Hope you will celebrate.

I run both outside in the street and inside on the treadmill. The treadmill is good because I set the speed and off I go, no slowing down, no wimping out! I have to keep up with the machine. Also treadmill trading is easier on the knees and you can do it no matter what the weather is throwing at you. It is good to have treadmill discipline. 🏃😀

Well done you! “Only done it on a treadmill” I think that’s harder! I only did one run on a treadmill and that was when I went for a gait analysis and he set it to slow ... I thought I was going to fly off the back!so you have done brilliantly 😃🎉😃🎉😃🎉

That’s amazing. Well done! I too find the treadmill harder because it makes you more disciplined (?), I don’t know if that’s the right word I’m looking for. Once you start on the treadmill it’s harder to stop / slow down.

Well done.

Don’t worry about the weight. If it bothers you, then the more you run, the more you’ll adapt your food choices around running. Weight loss will be a byproduct of your running (you are officially a runner now!).

Well done! Amazing. I did all mine on a treadmill too. I might get outside at some point.....maybe! Lol. I am not thinking of 10k yet. Just sticking with the 30 minute runs and see what happens. Good luck fellow runner!
