I just finished the last run of the couch to 5k program. Thanks to Michael Johnson and my husband, who was inspired by me, and started running as well.
We didn’t run together, but we often go to the local nature reserve together where we both would do our own run.
I have never been the athletic type at all and hated sports all of my life. The program helped me overcome my psychological barriers. Michael Johnson often tells you it’s really important to keep on running until the end. That’s what helped me the most. I’m pretty sure that I would have given up without the program, because I would have thought that my body wasn’t able to handle it.
I plan on keeping running but probably 2x15 minutes with a rest of 2 minutes in the middle or 20 minutes straight. I plan to use the app to guide me, but maybe another coach. I’m curious what they’ll say!

They all share this same thing...........as will we........... Congratulations on your graduation and becoming a runner.
We recommend that you consolidate at 30 minutes for a few weeks, just to become comfortable at that duration. I reckon you will soon ditch the walking breaks, once that is achieved.
The general recommendation is to do 150 minutes per week of exercise that raises the heart rate significantly and that does not have to be done in thirty minute sessions.
